China’s industrial output levels for the printing industry continue to blossom as it increases by 10% in comparison to 2007, reaching 3,100 billion RMB (450 billion USD) last year. The packaging and printing industry followed suit with its production output numbering at 1,080 billion RMB (156 billion USD), an impressive increase of 11%.
Industries from all over China are image-conscious as they increase their demand for high quality color packaging. As a result, the folding carton industry has seen a sharp rise in production and will continue its rapid development.
A variety of companies in several industries required different types of cartons, with the following percentage breakdown of what type they chose: cigarette cartons accounted for 18%, wine and food cartons accounted for 46%, medicine cartons accounted for 48%, cosmetic cartons accounted for 25%, and small household electrical appliances and electronic products cartons accounted for 30%.
It has also been reported that the cosmetic, tobacco, and pharmaceutical industries have increased their demand for color printing on cartons, ensuring that no matter how large the increase in production, the carton industry is ready to meet their demands．
